Remember that pic that everone has seen with that girl holding that
big, huge kitty?  Most people assumed it was photoshopped but,
actually, according to snopes.com, it's real and they have additional
photos of the girl and her cat, Riley, I think, posted there.

But here's another big one, also not photoshopped.  I'd love to have a
big, huge cat like this:

He's such a cutie too. Just looks like a real character.

It looks obese, poor thing.

Well, yeah, it does look overweight. But it doesn't look at morbidly
obese as that pic that went around of the cat lying on its back in the
girl's lap, do you remember that one?
If the kitty wasn't so fat, it would be a beautiful cat.

You guys really think he looks fat? My mom's Tycho looks like the same body
shape (only smaller) and has that kind of hair. But he isn't fat. He has a
LOT of hair.

Here is a pic for reference. And he isn't in "full hair" here either.

Yeah, he looks very similar.  I agree, I don't think either one looks
really fat, just big.  Long-haired kitties just do.

And when Tycho is fully coated and running about or stretched he looks so
big and he's really a pretty small cat for a male. He has THE thickest fur
I've ever seen on a cat.

Oh yeah. I remember Tycho. He is gorgeous. Bosley is going to be huge,
only he doesn't have the long hair, but he's the same color. He's a
very tall cat, very long legs.
OT: I just noticed yesterday Boz-Man has that "lentigo" stuff on his
lips. That orange cats get. Does Tycho?

Oh I didn't think he looked fat. Just a lot of hair.

On second look, maybe not. The pic of him on his hind legs he doesn't
look that fat. He sure has a beautiful coat & color.

Look at its stomach. All fat.

I'm all fat, too, so it's not an aesthetic issue; I'm more concerned
that they're keeping it fat to be impressive.

If you follow the link to:

http://www.verismocat.com/htmscripts/leo-guinness.htm

the vet says he's not overweight but the correct size for his frame
(although I realize the vet may be incorrect).

I was looking at his stomach (not the fur) and also at his lack of
waist. But I realise photos may be deceiving. I just think in the photos
he looks heavier than necessary.

He may be a little "fluffier" than optimum.  If your insurance
is paid up, you could volunteer to be the one to tell him he has
to go on a diet.

Trust me, he's a puddytat compared to Hodge. I doubt he could do any
more damage to me than my own baby. And that was before I put Hodge on a
diet. :)

P.S. I did want to point out that on that second page it says that
Guinness goes by length, not weight, and that they don't encourage
people to overfeed their cats. (Unlike Cat Fancy . . .)

I love big cats, too. DH favors little petite girl cats.
Don't know if I've showed you this pic of my daughter's cat (forgive me
if I have already). He's a big boy, but not an ounce of fat on him. I
don't think he's hit 20 lbs. yet.

Orion looks even bigger in the other picture you have of Jamie standing up
and holding him - he's gi-normous, and *SO* gorgeous!

Thats awsome!

If I had the resources, I wouldn't mind taking care of a large cat like
a tiger, or a jaquar, or even a moutain lion.

I think if you get them as babies, they learn not to eat you ;~|

I am sure you would. Ugh. Please try to leave the poor innocent kitties out
of your
post-menopausal sexual fantasies.
