ok hello,
I have a 4-7 year old Tortoiseshell, spayed, female cat named Bella. She is
very loving and friendly with just about anyone. She suffers from a heart
murmur and is getting extra taurine for it but all else in her life is
healthy and very happy. My question is this, do cats mark things by rubbing
their mouths on it. I know they rub their head, feet and other body parts,
but their mouth? I have noted many times certain things will trigger her to
run her face down say the outside lip on the lid of a cardboard box, or her
favorite place, my keyboard drawer. Right on the metal. I try to discourage
it by distracting her from doing it because she runs her teeth across the's
things. Then she licks her lips very thoroughly then does it again. Thanks
for all your input.

Yes. The chin also marks.

LOL I must sound naive but I understand all that. I'm talking oral marking.
She'd not rubbing her chin she's rubbing her teeth and lips across things.
Thanks,
