Apparently in the original photo it was a feather, not a gun, and the
kitten was about to attack it!  That's more like it..

How can you tell? (I mean, obviously it wasn't a gun, but I just
wondered whether, after something is photoshopped, the information from
the original photo is somehow retained in the jpg)

I know I've seen the original (finally) somewhere. It might even be on
Snopes. That kitty sure made it all over the internet. I've seen it in music
videos (ala Viking Kittens style) and all manor of similar things. I always
wonder what he looks like now.

I remember the original, too. I think it was on ratemykitten.com.  :)
I tried to look for it, but got sidetracked.  LOL  This one really
made me giggle:

LOL! I hadn't looked, but Fiona looks like quite the character. I
also liked "Never leave the Sunday paper out". ;) She looks very
proud of herself!

workaround...what if I paste a gun onto the pic...then hit "print
screen"
then I have a brand new *.bmp, created from a snapshot of my screen,
has nothing to do with the original data, all brand new.
