Our 3 y-o Khamun seemed to really like the cherry yogurt on the foil lid
that my girlfriend offered him to lick last night.
Is there any reason that he shouldn't eat yogurt - in tiny quantities I
suspect as I can't see us ever doing anything other than offering the foil
lid.
I recall that cats' drinking dairy products like milk and cream is a bit of
an urban myth from old Tom & Jerry cartoons but I'm not sure if it's
actually harmful.

As far as I know... PLAIN, unsweetened yougurt (in small quantities) is OK
for your furball. As to the sugar & fruit... I don't know for sure & have
my doubts. The live culture in yougurt is helpfull for digestion... Others
may be able to tell you if the other ingredients can hurt or not.

Seems like some cats like strawberries and melon. I doubt it would be in any
kind of quantity to cause a problem and the yogurt is beneficial.

I eat Horizon brand yogurt, usually the strawberry, and my cats like
it. They only eat a small amount. But sometimes I give them more
(like a tablespoon) but then I will use the plain. I don't think the
fruit would hurt them, but I think if you're using a brand that adds
sugar, I'd use the plain instead. Yogurt is good for the gut bacteria.

I don't see the problem, personally. Although he'd probably like plain
yogurt just as much, & a tablespoon or two wouldn't hurt him.

Some cats are lactose-intolerant, but not all. None of my cats (4) seem to
have had this problem. If he drinks a small amount & has no subsequent
gastro-intestinal upset, then plain milk is fine for a small treat now &
then.
