Diet Question

I'd like opinions please...

Sammy just made 1 year old on April 8.  As most of you have seen from her
pictures and my description, she's a *big* girl (she can stand on the floor
on her hind legs and put her front paws on my kitchen counter and she weighs
almost 15 pounds).  I think she must have a *LOT* of Maine Coon in her
ancestry.  If she does then I've been told she could continue to grow until
she is three years old.

Now, while not obese (I can still feel her ribs) she *IS* getting a bit
chubby.  My question is, should I keep feeding her kitten formula for a
while yet, or should I switch her to adult formula.  And if adult formula,
do you think I should feed her the "light"?  Currently they're all eating
the same thing, 1 cup "Senior Advanced" Formula SD and 1 cup Kitten Formula
SD dry mixed together and free fed, and 2 cans of Senior Advanced Formula
(or sometimes Adult Formula) SD fed 1 can mornings and 1 can nights (I'm
trying to switch them to mostly canned).  Jessie is at her ideal weight and
Bandit and Demi are a bit underweight.

Sammy will be going to the vet next month for her yearly check-up and
inoculations and I plan to discuss nutrition then, but I'd like you opinions
also so I'll have some informed questions to ask the vet.

Thanks in advance!

Hugs,

CatNipped

I'm sure you'll get lots of opinions.  My cats get fed twice a day, measured
ammounts... They eat most of what I put in their bowl right away & save a
little for grazing over the next few hours.  I'm feeding dry & experimenting
with a raw diet.
