Hey Guys,

We're in the boonies, here, half way between Nashville and
Chattanooga..don't get too many visitors. Even though we live in the
country, we still don't let the cats (7 at last count) run free - they are
prey for some of the larger creatures roaming around.

So my husband built a huge Cat House for them out back that connects with a
long tunnel. It's about 20 feet long, 15 feet wide, 8 feet high. We
converted an old car port we no longer used since we added the garage,
added screens, a door, ramps, tunnels, and a carpeted swing.

The cats love it..kids love it, too - we do a whole Halloween thing (we
have two black cats, and one orange one!)..plus decorations, jack-o-
lanterns..People actually call and make reservations for their kids! (we
don't let more than a few kids in at a time)

If you're EVER in Shelbyville, ask around about the Cat House - everyone
knows it. (don't want to give out email/address/phone on the net) and come
on by..

We love visitors!

I love Tennesee! Got a web page?

Hi! Well, I'm glad someone loves Tennessee..

so many people leave for Florida, Atlanta, California..We're stuck here, I
guess. Husband is retired.

No webpage, although it's a thought: www.thecathouse.com...hmmm.. checking
it out now...WHOOPS! a little too spicy. Hey, 40 years ago, though, I could
have been one of the girls there.

But we really don't want to become like one of those "Christmas Houses"
with hundreds of people visiting, driving by...Don't think Ned and Angie
down the road would appreciate the traffic!

So for now..it's word of mouth, only!

What's not to love? The ugliest parts of Tennessee are prettier than
the prettiest parts of some northeastern states!

I thought Shelbyville was only a creation of the Simpsons, I didn't
realise it was a real place!! :)
