Based on the pic from CatNipped's post 'A Man and His Kitty'... I'd like to
pose the question, in it's own thread...
If your cats weighed as much as you do, would you fear them?
I, for one, would certainly pay ALOT more attention to them when they begged
for food off my plate.
Thoughts?

Um, yeah. Evey animal bites. A bite from a human-sized cat, even a
love bite, would do major damage.

That's about how big a cat would need to be to be safe in your care.

MY domesticated cats?
No.
I've had dogs that weighed more than me. I wasn't afraid of my own dogs. Why
would I be afraid of my own cats?
Now, if you're talking tigers and wild cats, hell yes. They're always a
little bit wild, even if raised by humans.

I dunno. My cats have given me "love bites" whereas I have never been
bitten my either of my dogs, except when the little one was a puppy.

Pfft. If your cats were as big as you are, you hoss, anyone would be
afraid of them. Are you going to raise your son to be obese too?

That's why I said MY cats -- there are definitely some cats I would be afraid
of at any size.

I wouldn't be afraid of Cheeky. She'd handle me with great care, she is so
gentle and polite. Buddha on the other hand would not be fun. For one thing,
there would not be a hand around big enough to pet her just like she likes,
and that might mean that we wind up as her dinner~! She is very particular
about lots of things. If she is underfoot while I am cooking and I nudge her
to move, she stands her ground and stares up at me like "who do you
think you are?" If I dare to nudge her again (say I've dropped a glob
of sour cream on her back and don't want to do it again, lol) she
hisses! I've learned to work around her, though every now and then
I accidently step on her tail and then I run for my life.

Not as afraid as the vet would be when he tries to take blood! And as
for the litter box...

Having worked with human-imprinted Cougars, I can categorically say that
if my kitty Tiger was my weight, I'd do what he asked without question!
Wait, I already do! ;o)

Just in case someone believes otherwise, that photo is not authentic. I
received it in an email with other "enhanced" photos.

Aww, I was hoping it was. But thanks for the info.
