Thats what I thought but with the weather changing from the 70's back
to the 40's so often I was just curious if there was a set time cats
shed?

Cats shed all the time but some tend to "drop coat" twice a year - in
Spring and just before Winter. When they drop coat their fur goes
through a massive change in density and texture to allow for changes in
weather/temperature. You will ofthen see this in cats that either live
outdoors or have access to the outdoors often.
Beautiful cat, BTW.
