I just "discovered" a site that hosts videos and images --
http://www.putfile.com/.

I've got a bunch of stuff I took with my S200 Elph in movie mode of the
cats that I's like to use this site for. The catch is that the files
have to be 10 MB or smaller. I need to edit some of my .avi files by
cutting a few seconds here and there to make them fit under this limit.

Does anyone know of a shareware/freeware Windows product that will allow
me simple editing functions? I've downloaded a few, and most seem pretty
elaborate and/or expensive. I'm looking for instant gratification  --
I'm a movie producing idiot with the creativity of an onion peel. I just
want something basic that I don't have to spend a great deal on to
overcome a learning curve.

Thanks -- great link. There's some promising looking utilities there
after a quick look.

...as well:

If you run WinXP, you may have Windows Movie Maker already installed. If
not, you can download a copy from:

Wow! I have it, in a long forgotten corner of my START menu. As I said,
this isn't my forte ;->

I'll try this one first.
Thanks

Well, that was easy! I managed to figure it out enough to trim off a few
seconds with a minimum or RTFM. It seems to work, but beware, it takes a
little time to download, even with broadband, which I think might me
latency, as the file is only 1.6 MB right now.

This is Robocat in the enclosure last summer, getting himself worked up
and doing his impression of "Dangerous Jungle Cat":
