I took Billy for his annual exam last week. He's 11 so we did a blood panel. My vet called today and said that most things looked good, but his white blood cell count was lower than it should be. She suggested giving him a vitamin supplement (petonic?) and retesting in a month or so. I'm freaking out about this a little, as I lost my other cat to cancer in November, and don't want to go through that again so soon. Anyway, Billy seems healthy, but he has been sleeping a lot lately, so I'm wondering if that might be connected. Any ideas about what might be going on, or what I could do? It all depends on how low the wbc is. If you know what that exact figure is, please post it. |
