I've been using Advantage to get rid of my cats' fleas
for years, but I've never used anything for ticks. When
I see or feel a tick I just pull it off, and that has done
the job so far. My cats are indoor/outdoor by the way.
But one of my cats has a tick close next to his eyelid
near the outside corner of his eye. I hesitate to just
try to grab it and let the cat pull away, for fear of
hurting the cat's eyelid. It probably wouldn't, but I
don't want to take a chance.
So I would like to know if using Frontline in the
appropriate way according to the directions would
cause the tick to fall off? If so then I will buy
some Frontline from my Vet right away.

No, the tick won't just fall off using Frontline. It must be pulled off. If
you can't do it, see the vet or vet tech who will.
