Yeah, as long as she's on Mommy's bed and getting Mommy's attention, she's
happy!
I'm so glad we're over the worst of this - for a while there I thought I
might lose her and I just can't face that yet. I'm hoping she'll be the
first cat to live to be 50!

I hope so too. This whole burn thing has been just terrible
for both of you.

Bandit's story is one I am sure I'll never forget. Another one I'll not
forget is the kitty who lost its leg to cancer. However, I have forgotten
the name -- old age is the pits. Anybody remember that one? MLB

Me too. I will never, ever allow a vet who uses any sort
of heating pads near my cats. Many thanks to Catnipped
for sharing her story here.

Well, I think it was the *type* of heating pad that was the problem (the
rice-filled that are heated in the microwave). They, and other vets,
haven't seen any problems with the warm water circulating blankets.
However, on one site I've seen about this, the consensus is that warm air
blowers are the best of all to use.
I'm sorry this had to happen to *my* baby, but I was glad to post about it
so that someone else's baby might not have to suffer the same or worse.

I do understand that but I am still not taking any chances!

I don't blame you - it's going to be the first question I ask of a vet
before they do *ANY* treatment!
