Thank-you so much for the caring posts about Sapphire.  She is my jet black
cat with a white heart under her neck, 15 years old.

This morning I thought it would be her last day.  She was so sad and
wouldn't eat.

Her biopsy came back with lymphoma and her whole liver and kidney is
involved.  Inoperable but the vet said he could refer me to an oncologist,
one he takes a couple of his dogs to.  He didn't sound hopeless about it, at
all.  So, Sapphire and I traveled about 35 miles to a veterinary specialist
hospital and now she has an oncologist.  He pointed out some positive
aspects of her situation and started treatment right away.  First he is
keeping her for a day or two to strengthen her up and then she will have
chemo on an out-patient basis.  We will probably go in there once a week.
He may be able to give her another good 6 months, maybe a year, maybe even a
few years.  It depends, of course, on how she does!

So, that's where we stand, now.  Keep the good wishes coming!

Barb
Of course I don't look busy,
I did it right the first time.

Both Sapphire and you will be in my thoughts.

Good wishes are coming.  I hope she improves with this specialist's care.

Where you stand now is definitely better than earlier - I hope the chemo
puts her into remission & gives her a decent amount of extra time.
