I found this on another alt. discuss animal group without much
response. I know some of you here work in shelters and maybe you could
help this guy out?? It's pretty heartbreaking:
Here in Harlan Kentucky, the animal shelter is awful. There is no
quarantine room, and many dogs get parvo and die. No oe at the shelter
is certified to euthanize....so the dogs are take many miles away to
another co. to be put down. Iam the VP of The Harlan Co. Humane Soc. and
I ask that someone please let me know what we can do about this "torture
chamber". We have tried talking to the dog warden, the phiscal court,
and the Co. Judge Exec. We have gotten nowhere. There are many days at a
time when the animals are not even cleaned after.
    We have been to the press, and to the Commonwealth Atty.
They all refuse to help! I have pictures of cruelty, such as puppies
that fell into the clogged drains. Cats with their heads detatched. Dogs
laying for weeks in misery. Please someone, HELP!!!
