Kami just had her third mini asthma episode in as many weeks and I'm
beginning to suspect that it's climate related.  In the year since our
move she didn't have any , but no back in SoCal, it's back.  I don't
know if it's the dryness, the sea level, the different flora and their
spores or what, but I hope it doesn't get too bad before we go home
again.

Anyone think my suspicions may be right?

If you suspect dryness, try using a humidifier for awhile.  Many people
develop a dry cough in the winter when heaters are turned up and humidity
goes down (not the same as asthma, I know, but it would be worth trying).

I have such a dry cough. It is worth trying.

I would suspect the different flora than anything else.  Is it possible to
keep her inside an air-conditioned room and away from any outside air.  This
should help things alot.

Well, she is indoors all the time, though I let her out on the
balcony a couple of times (cat safe).  There isn't any a/c except
for a wall unit in the living room and this place is old, drafty.
Perhaps there are other things associated with the age of the
building bothering her.  I wonder if it has something to do with her
sleeping in front of the fan--cause or attempt to cure.  She's not
otherwise wheezy, so maybe it is a little dry cough episode because
of the dryness.  If it continues I might get a humidifier.  I hate
to do that when we're only here for two more months and going back
to humidity central.  LOL.
