Raw Diet Questions

I've let my cats try a raw diet food that I got from our local pet food
store a few times and they seem to really like it. And in the case of
raw food, a little goes a long way. Half a packet each and they were gorged.

Anyhow, my 3 year-old calico (the same toe biter as my last post), is on
Hill's C/D, as less than a year ago she had struvite crystals.
Name: Fiesta.com (Dotty for short)

And my 4 year-old tuxedo cat (both female cats), is a little bit
overweight and is on Royal Canin Light.
Name: Mouflon set la Rout III (my mother named her then gave her to me
*sigh*; Mouffy for short)

Would switching to a raw diet be bad for Dots or Mouf, with the
conditions I outlined above?

Hi Cari ,
What does your vet think and what exactly does the raw diet include?
A cat with FLUTD can do well on a wet diet even if it is not a
specialised diet for crystals.

Haven't asked the vet yet, but the ingredients are: Maple Hill
free-range, non-medicated chicken (meat, bones, liver and heart),
carrots, parsnips, squash, yams, organic egg yolks, rganic
multi-glandular supplement, salmon oil, Flack's ultrakelp
Made by Amore: www.amorepetfoods.com

It's all ground up into this orangish little package of food.

It sounds  healthy. I'm assuming it's one especially for cats. My cat
and dog don't like raw meat so I've never really gone into the Barf
diet . I'm hoping you'll get a more expert answer than mine. I don't
see why your cats shouldn't be ok on this diet if it's introduced over
a period of time but obviously your vet will guide you.
