is it worth going to get this product if jasper seems to be continuing
to vomit? poor guy. i just don't know what to do. at this point, we
intend to bring him back to the vet tomorrow morning at 8:00 am when
they open, but we are contemplating bringing him to the emergency clinic
that is open 24/7.

If you are that nervous, in my opinion take him to the emergency clinic.
Are they affiliated with your regular vet? (Not that it matters).
I hope things work out okay for you. I know what you're going through.

If he's vomiting and not keeping any food down and not drinking 6-8 oz of
water/day since Thursday, he's probably dehydrated or very close to it. His
potassium levels might also be low. I'd hate for him to go through the
stress of going to an emergency clinic and then to your vet, but at this
point, I think he may need fluid and electrolyte therapy as well as
nutritional support to maintain strength and avert hepatic lipidosis. An
emergency clinic is probably better equipped than a local vet for dealing
with this type of situation.
Since he won't eat the kitten or baby food, the only alternative seems to be
tube feeding via nasoesophageal, nasogastric, nasojejunal or "PEG" tube
(percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube). At this point - even if he
cooperated with forced feeding, I doubt you could feed him enough. Also,
the stress of force feeding could cause him to develop an aversion to food
because he may begin to associate the unpleasant experience of force feeding
with food itself.
If this was the first or second day, I'd probably wait until morning. But
if he can't keep down the little food he does eat after 3 days, I wouldn't
wait - but that's me and I'm neurotic about my cats.
Best of luck,
Phil.
