Cat Forum / Health and Behavior / February 2005OT/ Paul Newman's Cat Food?
I recently bought a bag of Paul Newman's, "Chicken and Rice Adult and Kitten Formula" for my 5 month old kitten, Dove. I love Paul Newman' organic coffee, and really like the fact that much of the proceeds on his products go to various charities. I'd also heard from a friend that Newman's cat food is made in a region where the recent tsunami struck. Anyway, I was in the pet store and noticed that they sold Newman's cat food, which I didn't even know was available. I scanned the ingredients before buying it, and not surprisingly, was very impressed with all of the good, organic ingredients used, especially the chicken, itself. Dove, so far, seems to like it fairly well, although not as much as his favorite (the much less expensive), Whiskas: "Chicken and Turkey". But I plan on continuing to purchase Newman's cat foods from now on, and really want to try his wet food, although this particular store didn't have any of his wet, canned food, in stock. Anyone else tried Newman' cat foods yet? If you're looking for the canned, you might check out Whole Foods Market if you have one in your area. Well the salmon's not so bad, apart from high sodium - not sure how critical that is, either? Alas, my cats tend to avoid the salmon. However, I shall be avoiding the turkey and chicken, except perhaps as an occasional treat. On the flip side, I shall not be avoiding their low-fat Fig Newmans. Mmmmm.
