For the last 2 days my 6 yr old, 18lb male cat who is normally in and
out of the house 20 times per day is hiding all over the house. He is
listless-not eating or drinking as far as i can tell. this is very
strange behavior from this cat who specializes in eating and snacks. I
don't want to spend $200 with dr ripoff, vet so that is why i am
posting to find out if any tonkinese owners have run across this type
of behavior. His nose is cold, he is not limping or is there any
evidence of physical hurt or blood etc. i gave my 15lb dog 25mg of
sudafed for a congestion problem but i have no clue whether i should
give the cat some aspirin or what. need help. thanks in advance.

Yeesh. ANY cat that is listless and not eating or drinking NEEDS to see a
vet as soon as pissible. It is NOT a good thing but can be many things from
easily fixable to serious. GO.

Oh come on. It costs a lot less than that for a vet check.
Pffft. Want that expensive breeder cat to die? No?
Then Dr. ripoff it is.

Go to the Vet immediately!
NEVER give a cat aspirin it is a deadly poison for them.
In fact NEVER give a cat human medicines unless the vet has prescribed it.

My Tonk is 14 and she has never displayed the symptoms you describe.
Get your baby to a vet.  Your cat is *obviously* suffering so I don't
understand your reluctance to try and find out why.  If you wait too
long, irreparable damage could occur.

Take your cat to the vet.
