I am currently fostering a beautiful orange female kitten, about 5-6
months old.  She has been spayed.  Got her around thanksgiving-she was
totally afraid of us and just hid in the closet.

She is wonderful with other cats, now allows us to pet her, loves to
look out a sunny window.  She is as soft as a bunny, and very elegant.
She loves to eat my spider plant-keeps it trimmed to about 2 inches
long.  She will beg for treats, and even rub against me if she thinks
there is a chance for food.

She doesn't like being picked up, and never comes to me for petting,
but does enjoy if I come up to her and pet her.  Sometimes she still
runs away from me.

If you know of anyone who has experience with cats who is looking to
add a new one to their home, let me know.  Her current name is Jill,
her sister Jackie is already adopted out.  But she doesn't know her
name, so it could easily be changed.  (She does come, with the others,
to "here kitty kitty"!

The adoption fee is $100 which just about covers the agency's vet
costs!  Please spread the word.  Thanks.

I am near Chicago IL.  I foster through Second Chance @
secondchancepetadoption.org.  I just checked the website, and could not
connect, but usually it pops right up with dates of out shows, etc.
(We bring the kittens and cats to Petsmart most weekends.)  I haven't
taken Jill to any shows yet, because she is rather shy.  I can't
imagine she would enjoy being in a cage surrounded by people.  Even at
home, if more than 2 people come up to her, she runs!

But if anyone is interested, I will bring her to a show so you can meet
her face to face.

We always have plenty of kitties needing homes.  I think one benefit of
our cats is that they are all being raised in homes as they wait for
adoption.  Jill has been exposed to our dog, my 3 kids, lots of noise,
etc.
