Someone just posted the valleyvet.com url, which has tattle tale alarms at
19.95 and looks like free shipping.

Just for fun, I checked petsmart and they have the same alarm for 16.99.  No
idea about shipping, but I know a lot of us have a petsmart nearby.

I didn't check there. Damn. I googled it when it was first mentioned,
and a few links showed it for $25.

Well, I went to the local shop and they didn't have it, so depending on how
much their site charges for shipping, it might still be cheaper at valleyvet.

I've never seen them in the stores (which is wierd). Shipping would have
brought it to about the same amount.

good luck with this product...we bought one and it has no effect on the
kittens at all - in fact, It seems as though they like the sound - they
will set it off repeatedly

Hmm, well, maybe you could put it where you *want* them to be and it will
keep them occupied and off where you *don't* want them :)

Not what I wanted to read!  ;) Oh well, we'll see. Thanks for the
input!

Well, then, at least you know they are someplace where you don't want them.
It beats finding there them there an hour later and hollering at them to get
down and they don't know what your problem is.

I did it right the first time.

I just got it last week & Sir Lancelot saw me put it on the tv - he
heard it go off while I was doing that and still has not ventured near
the tv. He was jumping from the tv to the highboy - neither of which I
wanted him on. He was doing this several times a day & thru the night.
We would have to get up and get him off....
So I guess he is smart enough to know where it is, what it looks like
and to avoid it so it doesn't make that horrible noise he really did
not like.

So if I move it will he be smart enough to realize that the tv -
highboy is now open for him to jump on?
He is just too smart.

I thought of moving mine on to the coffee table, (also glass) but it's too
much in the lane of traffic, people bump it or put something on it and the
cats do rub their whiskers on it.  They all do pretty much stay off it
anyway.  That would be the problem with putting the tattle tale on counter
tops unless you just leave it there when no one is home.

Try moving it anyway and see what happens.  Sounds like a good experiment.
Let us know.

I want to put it at the pantry door. But the litter boxes sit right
outside the door and I am afraid that I may cause a problem worse than
cats opening the pantry.

Definitely you don't want to make them nervous about getting to their kitty
litter.
