Hi
We have a 8 month old British Shorthair. About 3 months ago he stopped using
the litter tray for poo on a regular at basis, only using it for a wee,
which we thought was great. However, we have just been to a corner of our
garden we rarely goto and there was 5 or 6 packages of poo on the lawn. I
would like to some advice on whether anyone else has experienced this, some
things which have us puzzled are.
1: On the rare occasion we he uses the littler tray for poo, the poo is dark
brown, the poo on the lawn was beige (nice!).
2: If he has not been using the tray for poo for three months, where is the
rest of it, is there a poo mountain in the next door garden?
3: The garden is quite closed off, and whilst it's not impossible for a dog
to get in it, I would be surprised if that was the case as he would have had
to have visited 5 or 6 times.
Any advice, or people suffering from a similar problem?
Cheers

Hi Mark,
Other cats and foxes might be pooing on the lawn. Cats leave their
poo uncovered as a message to other cats i.e. this is my territory. I
would get your cat checked over by a vet in case he has something
wrong with him.

Have you tried adding an additional box in the house. I had a calico who
liked to pee in one and poop in the other.
