I did my first sub-q on Kami, with the tech present. We're going back
to Burbank for a few months, which is a two-day car ride, and the vet
recommended she get fluids a week before and the day before we leave
just to make sure her kidneys are flushed and we won't have any
problems (she not to the point where she needs fluids with any
regularity). So, we went for the week before session this morning and
I finally decided I wanted to do it. Then I could give it a try at
home the day before, and still be able to get to the vet if I can't
manage. If she gets too stressed while we're out there, I'll have the
stuff. Not that we won't be local to her old vet, but I have to learn
sometime.
Anyway, seemed to go pretty smoothly, but then we weren't at home.
We'll see what happens next Tuesday...

Oh, good job! I can imagine it would be a hard thing to do -- kudos to you
for learning how!
