<< LOL! You posted a pic of Cheryl's Scarlett. >>
Now I can see my posts although one I wrote before these 2 showed up has never
appeared. I figured, on thinking about it, that it was Cheryl's photos I
posted. Sorry, Cheryl and Scarlett. I've now been able to delete it but you
saw it too quick.

:) I never mind seeing pictures of my Scarlett! Actually, if you
saw her with the e-collar on and trying to clean herself, slurp
slurp fits just right. lol Glad to report that the drain was
removed this morning, so the e-collar is off. The holes look clean
and should close up quickly. Rhett, though, is making up for lost
play-time with his sister since we got home and she still needs to
take it easy because she has a long row of staples from the
exploratory surgery.
I didn't post about this here, but if anyone is curious, she had a
reaction of some sort to her subQ spay sutures and developed quite
a nasty abscess deep under the fat of her abdomen. It showed up as
a hard lump on her side, inches away from the spay incision, that
didn't contain pus when aspirated. It took having the vet open her
up to find the cause of the lump to find the abscess. She had a
fever, was lethargic, had quit eating, and was losing weight
rapidly. Already a small cat, she couldn't afford this loss.

That's the exact same thing that happened to my Mia post-spay. The vet
thought it was a hernia when she felt it. Mia also had to have a drain.
