I have a question that I was hoping someone could help with. We have an 11 year old cat who has been neutered and has recently decided that he wants to pee on our couches. He has a new litter box that he uses most of the time, but has just started this behavior. I've thrown away two pillows so far and cleaned the couches more often then I would like. Any ideas? We're going to ask the vet tomorrow, but I thought I could get help from you guys.

If you read some of the archives, you'll find that urinary tract issues are a
common cause of this kind of behavior. Definitely go to the vet ASAP.

Thanks! I checked the other postings, and they were very helpful. It looks like we'll be making a trip to the vet.
