hi, my kitten's lower lip/chin is swollen all the time, and this is making
her itch all the time in that area, which in turns make her scratch the itch
until she starts to bleed. .. .. does anyone know what is the cause of this?
... thanks ...

It might be something commonly called "rodent ulcer"--
eosinophilic complex. Time to see the vet, in any case.

What did the vet say?

Our cat use to get that every so often.  It would last a few days, and go
away.  We always thought it was spider, or other insect bites, as she always
cornered them, and ate them.

It could be an eosinophilic granuloma. You'll need to take her to the
vet.

Eosinophilic granuloma complex.  Take her to the vet and tell him/her
that you suspect it.
