Hello group,
I've noticed that my new kitten, Dove, has a slight to moderate redness
surrounding the outer layer of his eyes. His lids. I noticed this before* I
brought him home last Friday and I asked the woman I got him from about it.
She said that she had just noticed it too, as his sister had it also, and
she thought that it was probably related to her just recently using a carpet
cleaner that the kittens were exposed to. She/ the owner is extremely
responsible and had already taken them to the vet to be checked out dewormed
etc, when she first found them as abandoned strays. So we/ I really didn't
think it was related to sickness or a cold.
Now, I'm wondering if I should call my vet, ASAP, since the redness has not
gone away and it's Tuesday. ? He/ Dove is* still eating well, playing,
pooping, peeing.. it's just this outer eye redness that is giving me
concern. I do NOT have the money to take him in to the vet to be checked
out, but of course, if I need to/ have too, then I will take him in for my
vet to exam him.
Is it possible this redness will go away on it's own..? Any homeopathic
remedies I can do myself to save on a potential vet bill? Ideas and
thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
ML

Sounds like a minor respiratory infection. My kits both had that when I got
them and a course of anti-biotics quickly cured them.
...unfortunately not before my other cats had caught the bug too.
