Some very good friends of ours have recently lost their sweet little
kitty, Boppy.  Boppy was 17 and in chronic renal failure among other
problems.  I know I have read a lovely poem about Rainbow Bridge and
our (former) pets waiting on the other side for us here on the group
several times.  Does anyone have a web reference for it?  I'd like to
share it with our friends, who are in deep mourning for their Boppy.

TIA!!

Peg

The Rainbow Bridge

author unknown

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the
Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours. Just this side of
the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys
with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always
food, water and warm spring weather. The old and the frail animals
are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They
play all day together.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person
who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day
comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches!
The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from
the group!

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you
take him or her in your arms and embrace. You face is kissed again
and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your
trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Go to http://www.rainbowbridge.com and scroll down a little way until
you see "POEM".  Clicking on that will take you to the complete version
of the poem.

If you simply type in  Rainbow Bridge        you can probably bring up one
of several I have found on the internet.   Purrs for the loss of the
17-year old.    MLB

My sincere condolences to your friends on their loss.

You might want to direct them to www.petloss.com.  Has the RB poem,
many, many other poems and stories, a chatroom, message board, etc.
Good place to try to find healing and others who understand the grief.
