Well, although Kami was no longer is yowling pain because of the UTI, I
called her regular vet to tell her about the ER visit Monday and that I
was told to bring her in for urinanlysis.  Her vet said it wasn't
necessary if she's already being treated for it and she wanted me to
bring her in two weeks to do some other tests, because the UTI doesn't
explain her not eating for two weeks before.  She's suspecting
electrolyte imbalance.

Anyway, though seemingly feeling better and peeing quite fine,
completely turned up her nose to food and was sleeping in odd places.
Not her usual haunts.  I took her to the vet anyway and we discussed
that Clavamox was probably upsetting her and she might try something
else.  She also decided to take the blood and I asked if she would look
at urine, too.  She was sort "well, okay..."  As it turns out, Kami
doesn't have a UTI but a kidney infection.  She definitely needed a
different antibiotic otherwise it wouldn't get better and she would
still feel yucky because of the meds.  I'm glad I followed my instincts
this time and I'm really annoyed at the ER.

The machine to do the bloodwork at the vet went on the fritz and so
they have to send it out.  I won't know until Monday about that, but
sheesh!  Here I am $450 dollars poorer all told...

The vet doesn't always know best! My best wishes for kitty!

I hate when vets don't want to do tests because they feel that the problem
"is nothing".  I used to practically have to beg my old vet to do anything.
I'm glad you found out what's really wrong with Kami. Hope she feels better
soon.

She's pretty happy, relatively speaking, because the vet okayed baby
food if she won't eat.  I just have to watch for faking.  ;)
