yesterday, was a big day for Shaina. she finally got to know what
it's like to take a shower. whenever i take a shower, she walks up to
the shower, looks inside, and sticks her paws into the shower stall.
she has this very analytical look on her face.
we finally got the shampoo for her and bathed her. she took it quite
well, surprisingly. of course, she tried to escape and wiggled, so my
boyfriend had to hold her, but she didn't bite! maybe she was too
confused to bite. she looked very confused. i felt like i was
betraying her trust by pouring water on her.
then we wrapped her in a large towel and tried to dry her off as much
as we could. she didn't even try to escape! she was very nice about
the whole thing. only in the end i think she's had enough and
growled. we let her go and she went on grooming herself for probably
half an hour non stop. "damn humans, made me all dirty with their
dirty water!" she is so soft now!

This may seem like a silly question but -- why are you bathing your cat?
Cats seem to keep themselves clean.

my boyfriend has developed an allergy. i was advised to bathe Shaina
once every two weeks, in addition to other precautions.
