Kami is smarter than all of us, I think.  I had to take her to the ER
Monday night because she had what appeared to be a UTI, but you never
know with all her other issues.  They did a spot check on her creat.
and BUN and it was the same as it was in July, so nothing going on
there (though her regular vet wants to see her in two weeks), so they
treated it like UTI and gave her SQ, a shot of Centrine and ampicillin,
and some Clavamox pills.

The first pill didn't go well, so for the next pill, I spooned out a
little bit of baby food and she came running and dancing about for me
to give it to her.  I gave her the pill, then the baby food.  This
morning, I went to the kitchen, spooned up some baby food... she ran
off.

Yeah, the treat thing really works.  LOL!

It's never worked, at least for very long, with any of our cats. We thought we
were on easy street when we discovered that one of our cats would willingly
lick up CET toothpaste, and we got about a week's worth of pills down her that
way. But then she figured it out, and won't eat CET now period, even if there's
no pill in it.

Heh.  My life is so different.  :)  I just call the cat that
is getting meds and when he shows up he gets put into a sit-stay, I
pick him up, pill him or whatever, give him a Really Good Treat(tm)
which is roast chicken these days, and send him on his way.
Needless to say, I highly recommend clicker training to
everyone.
