Forgive me if this has been covered, but i wonder: with all the talk
about canadian prescription meds, etc., is there a cheaper source for
one of those flea monthly treatment packs (applied at the nape of the
neck)-? For kitties-?
$$$ problems make the vet's cost a little high right now--
thanks, buzzy

The decent flea treatments CAN be bought on the internet but when you
add on the shipping you won't save much. Get Frontline, Advantage, or
Revolution from your vet. Anything else could be dangerous (especially
Hartz).

just an FYI, there are instances of counterfeit products out there. Do not
buy from a fly by night operation. If the price seems to good to be true,
it probably is.
Frontline says it treats fleas for 3 months and because of that it is pretty
inexpensive for a flea treatment.

there are plenty of places to buy it online, however unlike most
other items, i found that you couldnt save much money on
these after adding in shipping. in fact my vet was a little cheaper
and since they come in 3 packs and i have four cats, the vet
was willing to break up a package.

Do you have more than one cat? It is possible to buy the larger dog
size of Advantage and split it. They are the same composition as the
cat treatment and cost exactly the same.
Advantage comes in two sizes for cats
9 lbs or LESS 0.4 CC
10 lbs & Up 0.8 CC
One tube of large dog Advantage contains 4CC.
I prefer to use .05cc/lb. which is slightly more than the minimum
dosage. My ten-pound cats get 1/2 cc so I can treat 8 of them for the
price of one.
