I'm on my third pair of cats.  All the previous ones were females, but
one of this pair is a male (neutered).  After about 2 years, the male
jumped on the arm of my chair while I was snoozing in front of the TV
and let loose on my arm.

The second time, I woke this morning to a wet spot under my chest in
bed.  I found a fresh wet spot on the top of the comfortor.  When I
entered the living room, he revealed his guilt by slinking for cover
instead of greeting me as usual.

This cat is the friendliest of the pair, generous with the heat butts.
loves contact, but if he pisses on me again, I'll probably end up
killing him in anger.

Any idea how to stop this?

It's time for a Vet checkup.  Could be that he has a urinary tract
infection and he is trying to tell you something is wrong.   MLB

Something is very wrong. He can't talk, so he has limited ways
of telling you. Take him to the vet.

Your cat is trying to tell you something.  He may have pain when urinating
and is associating the pain with the litterbox.

Urinary problems in male cats can quickly become life-threatening urologic
emergencies. I strongly suggest you have your cat examined ASAP..

Good luck,

Phil

One of mine does this, too.
read

and try Feliway.
Also watch to see if he uses the litterbox for normal urination.

Assuming that a veterinary examination gives your cat a clean bill of
health, the most reliable solution to his spraying behavior is fluoxetine
(Prozac) at a daily dosage of 0.5mg per kg body weight. This medication is
safe, cheap, and highly effective - our neutered male stopped spraying
completely within 24 hrs of the first dose. A pharmacy that does compounding
can prepare the medication in #3 gel caps based on the weight of your cat.

I work as a tech at a compounding pharmacy.  I could imagine that it
would be relatively difficult to get a cat to swallow a capsule.  We
compound fluoxetine for several vets.  We can compound it in a
fish-flavored suspension vehicle that even very finicky cats will
readily accept, or a chicken flavored vehicle if the owner so desires.
Another option that may be more convienent would be to have the drug
compounded into a transdermal gel that is rubbed in the inside of the
cat's ear.

I've never had any difficulty administering the medication by capsule, but
I'll concede that there is some technique involved. Regarding the
transdermal gel, what is the effect on uptake and pharmacokinetics ... the
dosage I mentioned comes from a clinical study where the medication was
administered orally.
