Both of my cats (Tiger and Amber) frequently lie on their stomachs with
their paws crossed.  It's almost always with the right paw over the left
paw.  Have any of you noticed this?

Well, I haven't noticed your cats doing it, but both Pudge (deceased)
and Hodge pose(d) like this all the time. It looks very relaxed to me.

I meant to add a smiley to that. :)

Fatass does that all the time.  I think mostly when she is content.
It's a good look, gives off a sense of royalty.

How is Fatass doing? Has she adjusted pretty well to the loss of your
mother? That must have been a huge adjustment for her.

Fatass is doing good.  Dry coat and dandruff are gone - she seems
happy, though I worry about her being getting on in years.  (going on
16 - she was born in April of 89).  Boy, I was 22.  Me and the girl I
as living with at the time picked her up from the shelter.  That girl
and I lasted another 4 months.  Fatass remains...

She sleeps and hangs out next to me on the recliner most of the time,
and is most active in the morning, when she is waiting for her food...

She cleans herself now, talks a lot, purrs like a motorboat all the
time, and has become used to the routine in the house, although I
think she wonders sometimes where my mother is...

crossed is cute, but Seamus tends to strike the "superman" pose more
often.

I've often wondered what to call that pose--what a neat way to
describe it! Tucker does the "Superman" pose quite often, though he
does not cross his paws.

Sometimes my cats cross their paws but for the most part they just lie down
regularly the way a lot of cats do.
