Hello,

I am about to setup a Marine Fish Tank in my hall, about 30 inches wide, and
24 inches deep, sitting on a 24 inch deep stand.
Do you think the tank will drive my cats nuts and really annoy them?  I
really want it, but will avoid if it is cruel on the cats.

Regards,

Gary.

Cruel? No way! It will be very entertaining for them. Be
absolutely sure they can't open it up and go fishing.
Eventually they may tire of it when they realize they
can't get the fish.

Our cats could care less about the fish. The oldest cat is mildly afraid of
the fish, she has a strong aversion to water. The young cat looks at them,
but that's about it.

Ditto here.  We actually set up a chair near the aquarium when we
first adopted our cats, thinking they might like to watch the fish,
but they never showed any interest at all.  Probably for the best :)

Hi Gary-
I have two aquariums in my home, and it's a toss-up as to whether they're
for me or my cats- they absolutely LOVE those fish!
One of my kitties actually reminds me to feed them and oversees the process
twice a day- sits atop the aquarium and watches me feed and touches noses
with the oscars!!   When he reminds me, he is called "Aquarium Cat" and
loves the title (original, huh?).  Cats love anything that you make fun for
them and isn't harmful.
