I left a hastily composed message  a few days ago  and a few people
kindly replied, about the problem I have with my neighbor in relation
to his cat and my attempts to get the cat  some help.   There is a
history in this  forum about it.  However, I would again ask for
anyone to please look at the pictures at
http://members.lycos.co.uk/waweldragon5/html0006/page1.htm and let me
know what you think it might be .  The history is that this animal had
an untreated flea allergy .  I eventually managed to take her to a vet
on his behalf after much persausion . The flea allergy was treated
successfully and the cat   (who is an outdoor cat)  was (as a gesture
to me to show  me that he is the boss)  was then detained  inside
every day except for a few hours on a weekend.   He initially tried to
tell me (eithout my asking)  that she "doesnt ask to go out anymore"
Now she has this new skin issue as you can see in the photos,
although her flea allergy problems appear to have gone.   Also she has
lost weight.   I do not see her at windows.  I suspect she is being
detained  in a way that will make sure I cannot see her.   My concern
is that  (again)   this will not be treated,  ( he ignores my email
about it)  and that may be a friction injury to the both sides of her
face from a behavioural problem,, or even from attenpting to escape
from whereever she is kept

It appears quite different to the flea allergy  and when that was at
its apex  these new symptoms were not apparent.   I saw her  the last
2 weekends and it has got worse.

Any ideas as to the possible cause of this problem.  Its on both sides
as you will see at http://members.lycos.co.uk/waweldragon5/html0006/page1.htm

Many thanks

report your neighbor to the authorities IE: human society...they have
to provide proper medical care to the animal. Least that is the law
MO.

It's really hard to say what it is.  Could still be a flea allergy, fleas
could have gotten in the house and reinfested the cat.  Also could be ear
mites and the irritated areas outside the ear are from her scratching.  If I
were you, I would report this to whatever animal welfare group you have.
She is clearly being neglected. :-(

My first guess would be some sorta hypersensitivity reaction - possibly to a
particular foodstuff.

Take a look:
