It is 5:30 on a Sunday morning, and I am awake, because my cats have
figured out how to open the kitchen cabinets. They don't have any handles,
so I cannot use elastic bands to hold them closed, and my cats love tape, so
I cant use that.
Any ideas?

Install handles.  Install small twist locks.

Either mount magnets inside each door (specially made for this purpose) or
plastic child-proof latches (again, mounted inside the doors).
