Kitten Sneezing

Help!
My 12 week old kitten keeps sneezing. I'm a bit worried, I hope she's
not ill.
The house is warm and she doesn't go outside. She's had her first
series of vaccinations 1,5 weeks ago.
Is it normal for a cat to sneeze that much?! Maybe I'm overreacting,
but I'm just worried.
Thanks for any advice.

Aisha,

See if she has any discharge from nose or eyes, note if it is thick or
clear, etc., then call the vet. What vaccines did she get? Was it a live
or a killed vaccine? It's possible that they can get a virus from a live
vaccine.

With kittens, our vet puts them on antibiotics for upper respiratory
infections. It doesn't do anything to the virus, but helps keep any
secondary bacterial infections (like pneumonia) from developing.

Good luck,

Rhonda

If there isn't any discharge, take note of what she does just before she
sneezes.  Francis, my current rescue kitten, used to sneeze after eating
because he'd get food in his nose!  Come to think of it, I don't think
I've noticed him sneeze in a few days.  He's about 11 weeks now and
deadly cute.  :-)

She normally sneezes when she's playing / running around :]
She has a bit of white discharge under her nose (but not all the time,
mostly when she starts purring.)
I'll call my vet and see what he says. Thanks

I know, I know.  *sigh*

He's just so darned cute I'd rather giggle at him or cuddle him than run
around looking for the camera.  He's getting to be all legs.  Truly, he
looks like he's on stilts.  If he were human I'd be making comments about
his future in basketball.  He's polydactyl, and those wide feet at the end
of those l-o-n-g legs are totally comical.
