I posted a while back about my foster kitten Ana, who had seizures and was
diagnosed with PSS.
Just wanted to update that she is doing very well, hasn't had any seizures
since.  She is a very active kitten, about 5 months old now.  Ana is small
for her age, but plays hard and has no idea how little she is.  She gets
lactulose twice a day, and is eating the same food that my other cats eat,
Nutro Weight Management for dry snacks and Wellness canned for main meals.
Hill's L/D was recommended for her, but I'm going by the "ain't broke, don't
fix it" rule.  For right now, she is going to stay our foster kitten.  No
one has made any noise about her, and I don't want to rock the boat and
bring the subject up.

That's great news!  I was thinking about her.

I hope she continues to improve.

Thanks for the update.

I'm glad she's doing well! That's wonderful!

Hi,

I'd wondered if you had made your presentation by now but I can see
your point about not making an issue of it.

I liked hearing she was now a hard-playing cat! It's great to see them
playing hard and being assertive about their world. Just goes to show,
you give an initially sickly PSS kitten a chance and it can flourish.

Our own PSS cat, MAGI, is the similarly flourishing and has integrated
well into our clan. I still try to feed her separately but this is
less for her sake than for the other two cats. I want MAGI to keep
putting on weight and Whiskas with Double-Cream is strictly for her
and not the other two too-much-weight-increasing-guzzlebuckets ;-)

It seems to be the case that you caught ANA early and seizures are not
ever going to be an issue for her. I pray so. MAGI has not had a
seizure in ages, still the occasional bout of twitching but nowhere as
bad as before.

Changed opinions all around about PSS cats, I think.

Iain
