I have a cat that I found in the street, not full grown, yet, and without
claws. It's now 14 years later and she still tries to sharpen her claws on
the scratchpads I have around the house for the other cats. She makes the
same sound by rubbing her paws across the top of the scratcher. I can only
wonder what she thinks about why she has no claws and I just wish I could
somehow give her back her claws.
It infuriates me that someone did this to my little treasure; mutilated
her and then allowed her out into the street where the kids said she had
been hanging around for three weeks.
Barb
Of course I don't look busy,
I did it right the first time.

Poor baby. I am so glad you found her.

Greetings...
Just because she doesn't have claws doesn't mean she doesn't still have
the scent glands to mark up her territory. Scratching isn't just to
sharpen the claws. She's lucky to have found you.
