My one year old semi-feral escpaed yesterday, still no sign of him.
I have four traps set for him. One near the back door, one near the front
(where he got out), one in the brush in the back of our complex, and one at
the side of the house.
Everyone keeps reassuring me that he is close by. It was pouring rain
today, so he probably found a hiding place and stayed there.
I feel so awful that he's outside, scared and alone. He's never been out.
My other cats all seem quiet, they aren't as active as usual. I think they
miss Antonio. Come home!!

I'll say a little prayer for him to find his way home or to one of your traps.

Hi Kelly,
A couple of years ago our 6-month old formerly feral kitten got out
through our fireplace insert (nightmarish story -- it was lit...)
She would not come to us outside, but we thought she'd be close by. We
have an unfinished basement with a stairway that leads up to the house.
My boyfriend came up with the idea to leave the door to the basement
open. Two nights later, we heard a meow at the top of the stairway, at
the door that leads into the house.
Is there some door, something you could leave open a crack for him to
find his way in? How about a garage door? You might leave things outside
(or in the garage) with your scent on them. Sleep in a t-shirt and then
put it outside. He'll know you're around and he's in the right place.
Good luck with your baby. Don't give up. He'll be a happy boy when he
gets back home.

I have 6 other cats. I thought about getting a pet door and making it a
one-way somehow.

It may be a silly question, but do you know where he was found originally?
Cats are highly territorial creatures; he may have returned to his former
stomping grounds. Just a thought.
I wish you the best of luck and hope you find him soon.

He was trapped in the neighboring town, I can look up his ACO record and
find out exactly where. He was 3 months old when trapped, would he still
remember?

Maybe. I've heard many stories about cats traveling hundreds of miles back
to their former territory - even when there was no scent to guide them.
I'd sure give it a shot.
Good luck.
