WHich way does a cat's tongue go while he is drinking?
When ever Mr. Bonkers finishes with a drink from his bowl, I notice that his
lower chin is wet when I would expect his upper lip would be wet if he
lapped like a human would. Does this mean his tongue bends backwards to
drink? I'm having a hard time imagining this.

I once saw a slow-motion film of just this thing, and the
film makers were surprised to find out that the tounge does,
indeed, bend backwards!

Wow. You have a lot of time on your hands. :) I will try to observe my
kitties at the water bowl and report back.
