Anyone who knows of a breeder, club or humane society where we might
find a siamese cat-----please contact me!

We have a broken hearted lady here who's been trying to find a kitty
similar to her baby who died several months ago.

Any infor you guys may offer would be real welcome
Thanks,
Star E.

Since Siamese are one of the oldest breeds, and most popular and available, you
should be able to find a Siamese rescue club near you. I know of a couple in
Texas and Pa., and I'll bet there's one close to you. Also, consider a shelter
wanna-be Siamese. You'll not have trouble finding one. If you need a bit of
convincing to get a wanna-be and not a papered, purebred, read Phil Pass's post
about the genetic defects in the Siamese.

I was going to find a gorgeous Siamese for her at one of her local
shelters once she told me where she was. A picture being worth
a thousand words, and all. ;)

Oh definitely. It doesn't take too many homeless meezer pics for me to say "Oh,
five cats isn't too many....maybe just one more......"

Thanks for yours, Sherry.
I usually get real unhappy with  guys who are stuck on pedigrees
but this lady had her kitty-- a purebred Siamese for 29!! years--and
it's hard to * argue with that.  Still,   I hate the whole concept of
"buying" pets-- of any!! kind when all those little ones are waiting
for homes --at  humane societies and all like that.
Still, this lady is pretty messed up and I, thank you for your advice.

Talk to you later,
Star E.

Contrary to popular opinion, the plural of 'anecdote' is
not 'fact'.

When I lived in Florida my neighbor was acquiring a whole family of Siamese
rescues, I guess from the shelter.  Shelters sometimes displayed their
adoptables in the mall.  I used to be meandering around outside with my
Siamese Bandi on her leash and of course became friends with these people.
(Around 35 years ago-time sure flies!)

Of course I don't look busy,
I did it right the first time.
