worms

hi guys, im planning on bringing my 10 year old tomcat to the vets on monday
as he has a touch of diahrea. but in his stool i saw 1 or 2 white lilttle
things smaller than a grain of rice,are these worms?

Tapeworms.  The vet can worm him.

Tiny excerpt: "When terminal segments of the tapeworm break off and pass
into the cat?s stool, they can be seen crawling on the surface of the feces.
These proglottid segments look like grains of cooked white rice. Less
commonly, they are seen crawling around the cat?s anus."

As an aside: Is he really a tom - not neutered?
