Sometimes I really hate when I have to go into PetsMart on some
Saturdays.  How do you keep yourself from adopting everything they
have?  I resisted, but it was hard.  There was a BEAUTIFUL silver lynx
point male there.  He was a jerk.  Liked all the petting except for
certain areas and his note said he was a bully at the shelter.  Would
probably be a great one person, one cat pal.  :::sigh:::  Then the
long-hair gray kitten, two calli kittens, the black short-hair
brothers...

Well, would you?

I work with a rescue group and we HOPE you can't resist. I have put over 100
cats through my house in the last 3 years and have only kept 2. There are
some you just can't resist.

Also, you should commend the rescue group for putting the info on the lynx
point. That should keep someone from adopting him only to find he doesn't
get along with their other cats and bringing him back. My group hates to see
something like that happens. Cats hate change and bouncing them arounnd
makes them grumpy and harder to adopt.

My neighbor's 12-year old torti siamese is a shelter cat that was
adopted three times and sent back.  Supposedly for not using the litter
box.  She has never failed to use it for him.  She's a real trip.
Likes to be roughed up like a dog, pet the wrong direction and pounded
on the sides--gets real excited.  Unlike Kami who will fight you about
things like pills and the vet, Sam voices her opinion and then gives
in.  She always thinks she's done something wrong and wants to make
amends.

I too think it's great that they give such details on the cats.  He was
a love otherwise.  I hope he gets adopted.  They did say he'd have to
be dominant cat, and that's Kami's role.  It would have never worked
out.  Oh! but he was pretty.
