Sir Lancelot decided it is more fun to bat his chunks of food across
the floor than it is to eat them.... Now he does have lots of toys to
play with and 3 other cats. They sometimes will play with him and
sometimes they still don't want anything to do with him... I think
they are afraid of his size?

I really would like him to leave his food in the dish but have no clue
how to stop him. Hes too funny - he hits a piece of food and then goes
running and sliding after it knocking over what ever is in his path
...and leaving broking pieces all over the floor.

It's a popular sport with some. Feed him wet?

They all get some wet food in the am - just to get l-lysine into them.
I prefer the dry because it helps with tarter build up and royal canin
only comes in dry. I feed the maine coon formula. It has big chuncks
so he has to chew instead of just swallow. It also has needed items
for his large frame.

I guess he will either grow out of it or I will be sweeping lots
more....or well he seems to have started this game out of the blue,
maybe he will find a new one soon.

I so still wonder if the other cats fear his size now that he is way
bigger than them and even though I have never heard him spit or growly
( i wonder can he spit?) and if the others spit at him he lays down
and stays where he is...submissive to them.

I've got a kitten that picks each piece out of the food bowl one at a time bats
it around a while and then eats it.

Yeah that is what he does or if he looses it he has to get another one
to bat around and then eat - needless to say it takes him awhile to
eat his meal. i guess this is better than some other things he could
be doing - like clawing the leather couches we got last year - and to
my surprise out of 4 cats not one has clawed the new stuff.....

I guess I will just have to sweep more and hope maybe he will find a
new toy soon....to bat around the room - he isn't impressed with balls
- I have tried all kinds and sizes - ones that make noise and no
noise.
