This says cats with this can actually get aggressive due to the heightened
sensation they experience, and that the reaction is akin to a seizure. Guess
I won't be petting Buddha on her "spot" anymore.

WOW.........reading this it also sounds just like what my Skippi would do
when we had to increase her prednisone due to severe asthma attacks. She
was a Jeckll & Hyde to live with then I can't imagine what it must be like
to have to worry over your cat acting this way out of the blue.
Good luck I hope everything is ok with her and she never gets some of the
characteristic described in the article.
