And *finally*, I can PET Antonio, a.k.a. Puss 'n' Boots (can't stop calling
him Puss 'n' Boots since we saw Shrek 2).
Antonio is almost 1 year old now. He came here as a very scared semi-feral
foster. At first, he would run from us if we even looked at him. We then
progressed to him not running when passing him in the hall, waking up with
him on the bed in the morning, and Antonio spending the day under my desk
while I work. Just recently, he's started hopping up on the bed while I get
dressed, making him at the perfect petting height. So I'd go for it. He
swats my hand a little, with no claws extended (I attempted this before, but
he swatted with claws). I can pet him for a good minute. DH can't pet him
yet, I think it's because I'm home more.
Anyway, just wanted to share! Here's a picture of Puss 'n' Boots with his
best friend Bartleby:

This is why I had to keep him :-)
