Hello,
I am a new mother of 2 nine-week old kittens. I haven't had kittens
in a while, so I may be a little paranoid. My little boy kitten seems
to have a difficult time drinking water. I noticed that when he's
drinking, he'll stop quite frequently and almost tip his head back as
if he's letting the water drip down his throat. The girl does not do
this at all. Also, whenever he tries to cry, you barely hear anything
except a half cry all scratchy and quiet. I am wondering if he has
some kind of infection. He also has some clear liquid coming from one
eye. I notice after I wipe it with a soft cloth, it runs more.
Everything else with him is normal...he plays, he eats, he sleeps. I
will call my vet about this as well, but I just thought I'd look into
it here first. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I
should also say that I have only had him for 2 days. I guess because
I have two, I notice these things about him.
Thanks so much,
Jennifer

Respiratory infections are pretty common in kittens; I think your
best bet is just to wait to see what the vet says. :-) Try not to
worry too much, but definitely get the little guy checked out.

It sounds like kitty caught a cold. The Vet will help him. Best
wishes.
