Okay, this is driving me nuts. I can't sit down with my laptop without having Tucker jump up next to me. Okay, that part is fine, but then he insists on putting paws on the computer. Still fine, mostly. Then he wants in the middle of the darn thing!
He's crazy, we all know all kitties are <G> But this is way weird.
He's never cared, since being a kitten, about the computer. Then he was fascinated with the PC, but this isn't that computer.
Maybe he just wants to be very very close to me LOL

Anyone else's little monsters want to be *this* close? <G>

Hailey--

I'm guessing the laptop is in your LAP, right? :') If so, there might be your problem

Well I don't consider my cats monsters but Isis likes to rest in the computer chair and then get up next to the monotor and also lay on top of it. Both she and Jade will also sometimes jump in my lap as well when I am using the computer. I really don't mind it at all. I even used a picture of Isis laying on top of a computer as my business logo which has been a great eye catcher.

Calm down CP. Tucker *is* a monster. but he's *my* monster and I adore him.

CP has dain bramage. Or he's just stupid. Whatever it is, he won't
listen to you so you might as well hang it up before you get pulled
into one of his convoluted, irrational "debates".

I'm sure that's drawing you tons of business, too. How do you manage
to find people who know less about computers than you do, anyway?

Sammy likes to perch on top of my wife's monitor. She snuggles down and
actually sleeps up there. Sometimes, just to be a pest, she will slowly
raise her head up and study the effect on Heidi as she lowers her tail to
partially obscure the screen.

Cassie insists on working her way onto my lap and expanding the space
available to make room for whatever degree of stretching out she's in the
mood for. She's been known to drool while sleeping inverted in this pose and
sometimes rolls off if shifting position in her sleep.

I have a white mac iBook. I have three black cats. I therefore have a grey
hairy keyboard. Pearl is particularly bad about "It's ME time" and plopping
right down on the keys.

I actually beta tested a program designed to keep cats off keyboards
some years back. Pawsense! (It just came to me, sorry for the
exclamatory text. <G>) It plays sounds such as hissing or growling
when the keys are pressed in a "catlike" way, and the sound gets
louder and louder until the cat gets off the keyboard. You can choose
your own sounds, as well.

In any case, my cats have learned to stay off the laptop, but they're
furry keyboard and monitor covers if I'm working on desktop machines.

I wish I had been a fly on the wall to see this tested! It sounds hilarious.

Yep, lol.  My cats will sit right in front of the monitor (blocking my view of
course) until I pay them some attention.  Mickey will wrap his paws around my
neck and then rub his head on my head.  If that doesn't get mommy to play with
him, then he bites my head.  *That* usually works :)

Sounds like Frank. He jumps up here and does the usual "FOR GOD'S SAKES, LOOK
AT MY BUTT" routine. If that doesn't work, he starts licking my fingers.
*Licking*. Ewww. It feels weird.

Listen, as long as you cat's spelling isn't so bad that the spell checker
can't recognize what your cat is trying to write, don't complain.

My cat does the same thing and even though she is 9 years old (63 in kitty
years) she can't even come close to spelling her name.

Does your kitty know that you think she's eleven years older than she
is? ;-)

(No, really, there's not an even mapping of years- check out this
chart for an example:

http://cats.about.com/cs/healthissues/a/agechart.htm )

See, your kitty is only 52. Not even old enough to retire!

That explains why they were both "hot to trot" towards the end of their
first year;-]

If you ask me my cats have both been retired since I got them.  I did catch
one of them looking at the "want adds" once, but I suspect that she thought
that it was a listing of things she might want!

BTW, your diagnosis of "constipation" for one of my cats a two or three
weeks ago appears to have been right-on.  I started giving both of them a
cat laxitive/hair-ball supliment every morning and we havn't had a single
cat turd on the floor next to the cat box since.  Thanks for your input!

Well, cats do prefer early retirement. Verrry early.

Excellent! Glad to hear your cat is doing better! :-)

Well, for the first time I may agree with those who say the ones who breed

I'll be sure and tell his Birthmother you feel that way.

Could you possible *be* any more obnoxious?

Didn't think so.
